In this book study, we will embark on the fast-paced adventures of Alex and Conner Bailey in the best-selling book “The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell” by Chris Colfer.  When the twins’ grandmother gives them a treasured fairy tale book, they have no idea they’re about to enter a world beyond all imaginings: the Land of Stories, where fairy tales are real!  This unique story is a contemporary interpretation that combines our modern day world with the enchanting realm of classic fairy tales.   Kids will engage in verbal discussions  along with written work combining literature comprehension, story concepts, vocabulary, and character study. There will also be plenty of fun art projects and hands-on activities tied into the themes of this fantastical story. This book club is geared for fun and adventure as BIG as our imaginations!
REQUIREMENTS: Students MUST be able to read and write independently.  Please have a copy of the book (“The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell” by Chris Colfer) and  a one-subject spiral notebook available to bring to the first class.
