This cross-discipline class is super fun, and the learners are diving into rich conversations, decision making and project building. The driving question is, “How can I take my skills in language arts, social sciences and art and design to create a micronation which is ideal for humanity?” Every learner creates their own micronation with a government, holidays, a declaration of independence, and designs of housing and business. Materials needed: sketchbook, graph paper, ruler and markers. Learners have significant choice in this project as to how and where to create the micronation. For instance some use minecraft, others make a physical model, and others use a sketchbook. At the end of the session we will have a demonstration of learning to show off the projects.
