Wellbeing 101: Stress Management, Relationship & Happiness Skills for Adults

We spend so much time taking care of our kids and our loved ones, but taking a class like this can help immensely because we learn to take care of ourselves and we learn vital skills we can pass on! The ability to cope with life’s stress, navigate relationships, and meet personal goals can be vital to both happiness and success in life. And often, what we think will make us happy or bring fulfillment isn’t what actually works. The research on what does work is sometimes surprising and sometimes reinforces what we instinctively may know is right for us, but don’t always do. Many people have said, “There should be a class on this topic for adults,” and now there is! 

This course is designed to help adults learn what the most current psychological research says about stress management, resilience, happiness, and personal fulfillment, and put these ideas into action. This means not only traditional goal-setting and self-care, but skills and habits that have been found by research to promote increased levels of happiness and life satisfaction for the decades to come, while putting these skills into action and reviewing our results in a supportive environment. Taught by an experienced teacher who has a master’s degree in Counseling, a doctorate in Psychology, and has written a book on the subject that has been translated into multiple languages, this course can help adults of all ages to build knowledge and habits to increase their happiness and productivity for life. It will focus on:

It’s never too late for us to continue building awareness in this area and practicing these skills in a supportive environment with a helpful and knowledgeable guide. These skills are great a great focus for parents, as what we learn now, we can teach our kids as well.

About the Teacher: Dr. Lizzie Scott is an author, teacher, trained counselor, wellness coach, and mother who has worked with kids for many years and knows what helps them grow as students and as people. She holds a doctorate in Psychology, has taught and coached these skills for many years, and loves supporting people of all ages to become their best selves.
