Joan Newton will be happy to offer singing classes in the Waldorf curriculum to home-schooled children this fall.

The classes will be designed for ages 6-9, with songs, singing games, and movement-with-song which cultivate the children’s singing and listening skills, as well as their joy in making music.  All material is carefully chosen to nourish the development of this age group through the music, the texts/poetry and the subjects of the songs.  Some simple instruments will be introduced to accompany our activities, e.g. tambourine, finger cymbals, wood blocks, etc. No recorded music will be used in this class. Each class will be 60 minutes long.
