This class is a study of artists throughout history beginning with the ancient Cave Paintings in Spain, through the European Masters (Michelangelo, El Greco, Gainsborough, Seurat), Modern artists (Picasso, Georgia O’Keeffe, Frieda Kahlo) up to the world-famous street artist of England, Banksy! We will study the lives of each artist and the cultures that helped shape their styles and techniques. Then each student will go into Minecraft to complete a building assignment that is relative to the subject and reinforces the facts we learned about them.
