String Orchestra is an introductory level musical ensemble. In this group we will learn basic strings techniques and learn to play as a group with classical repertoire and arrangements of our favorite modern tunes. Playing in an orchestra is a fun way to learn teamwork, self-discipline, self-expression, poise, memory skills and self-esteem. We will also talk a little bit about music theory, which is a fun way to look at math, and music history as well. At the end of each semester, we will present a concert for family and friends to show and celebrate our progress.
