Inspire Charter Schools welcomes students who have been identified as Special Education. We share with prospective parents that we are a general education, full inclusion program with our special education students receiving the services and support as indicated in their IEP’s. What this means is we provide services for students who have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Services are individualized depending on the student’s IEP. All Special Education students are assigned to a SPED teacher/Case Manager who will provide the Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI services) on-line. Inspire also contracts with related service providers such as School Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists on an as needed basis.
Since we are a general education program, students who are currently in a more restrictive environment would be changing placement if enrolled in our program.
Within our school’s enrollment packet, a parent is asked whether their student is currently on an IEP (Individualized Education Plan). Prior to enrollment, someone from the Special Education Department (SPED) will review the IEP and discuss our program with the prospective family. The student’s individual needs based on the current IEP will be discussed in order to ensure specific questions are answered.
