If you don’t love Dr. Seuss already, you will by the end of this class! Dr. Seuss, captivating audiences, young and old, is one of my favorite authors! Over the course of the semester, we will read several of his most well-known and loved works, discuss it, then reinforce it by doing various activities based on the book of the week. This will include activities such as making “Cat in the Hat” cookies one week, acting out the story another week, making our own oobleck with Bartholomew, learning about rhyming and poetry, starting recycling projects with the Lorax and many more. We will also study some other great stories while learning about the science and social studies topics in them such as Miss Spider’s Tea Party and many more. Don’t forget to bring your imaginations to class!
