THE SCIENCE OF OUR NATIONAL PARKS (K-3)
Put on your ranger hat and come explore the science of what many consider to be America’s best idea: our national parks! This hands-on science class will use experiments, art projects and games to learn the flora, fauna, geologic features and archaeological remains unique to each park. We’ll make our own stalactites and explore Carlsbad Caverns, construct the layers of the Grand Canyon to show 1.8 billion years of geologic history, erupt a volcano to learn about Crater Lake National Park, demonstrate how a geyser works to discover Yellowstone and more!
Ages: 5-8yo.
