Let your child get inspired about Geography by developing a relationship with a penpal in another country.  The kid will pick the country that he/she would like to have a penpal from and then they will be matched with someone from that country and in the process learn a lot about the country.  They will be learning Writing skills as well without even noticing they will be from the draft of a letter to the final product.
