Mythology and the Arts (Greek, Roman, Nordic, Guatemalan,
African, American Indian, etc.)

In this unique class learners will explore the world of myths and art projects that
compliment them. For instance, we will make Greek Vases featuring heros from the
Greek Myths and then listen to music, write poems, and create projects around the
same theme.
We will also make “Worry Dolls” which are based on a Guatamalen
myth that the dolls, when put under the pillow, take away all worries and troubles
from the sleeper.
This class will serve to fulfill many art, reading and creative writing standards.

Ages: 9-14yo.
