LEGO WeDo kits introduce students to robotics by having them build LEGO models that include motors and sensors and then they program their models using the Scratch Programming software. Scratch is an MIT-developed programming environment where one can create interactive stories, games, music, and art- and share them online! When used in conjunction with Scratch, the student-created LEGO models can control the animations in Scratch and vice versa. Students will have the opportunity to build LEGO models and program them, as well as explore the world of Scratch.
