Come learn how to analyze literature and write about it with some classic books from around the globe.  The book that will be used is “Teaching the Classics” and other short stories.

Besides the text Teaching the Classics, our class will be reading the following short stories to discuss literary analysis featured in the course description.

O Henry – The Ransom of Red Chief, After Twenty Years, The Cop and the Anthem

Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game”

Jack Finney’s “Contents of the Dead Man’s Pockets.”

Grimm – Cinderella

Glaspell – A Jury of Her Peers

Maupassant – The Necklace

Poe – Tell-Tale Heart

Poetry – “Ozymandias” or “Richard Cory”
