History & Geography Through Games

States and capitals, presidential facts, important battles in U.S. History, world geography…certain information is important to know, but often tedious to memorize. This game-based history and geography class is the perfect way to cement the knowledge in an enjoyable way!

In this class, we will be learning and reviewing important basic information about History and Geography, and reinforcing the knowledge with group activities and fun educational games. Some of these games will be cooperative, some will involve friendly competition, some will teach pneumonic devices, and some activities will create learning samples suitable for charter schools.

Learn about states and capitals, U.S. presidents, world geography, timelines and more, via group activities that invoke creativity, engage critical thinking and logic, and make learning fun!

Some of the games we will play are: States and Capitals Sequence, Map tangle, Spy, Timeline, and more. We will also engage in “game show” games, bingo, and other group activities.
