Posters, t-shirts, logos, billboards, advertisements, magazines, book covers, wallpapers, business cards, product packaging, the list goes on and on. These are all things that a graphic designer can create. We will learn in this class how to design each of these items in Photoshop, and learn the process that a graphic designer goes through to create an awesome design. The balance between functionality, artistic features, and clutter is constantly at the forefront of a designer’s mind, and so it’s always tough to strike the right balance. In this class we will learn the process to find that balance time and time again.
Students might participate in designing brochures, event announcements, and marketing materials for Learn Beyond The Book from time to time and they will also be editing our 2014-2015 Yearbook.
Students have to come to class with their own laptop with Photoshop installed. If you don’t have Photoshop, just let us know and students will be working in teams. We also have some laptops with it installed that can be used if needed, but if they have it on their own laptops it will be best.
