This class will focus on expository writing, including informative essays, responses to literature and business letter writing.  Students will go through the stages of the writing process including brainstorming, prewriting, drafting, revision, proofreading and publishing.  The class will be taught in a seminar format in which students will share their work and receive feedback from their peers at all stages of the writing process.  Special emphasis will be placed on creating a positive, supportive environment where everyone feels safe to express himself/herself.
