Learning about other beliefs and faiths has proven to be a powerful tool to understand other ways of thinking. By developing a better understanding of different religions, we can coexist peacefully in this world. Learning the religion’s history, geography, culture, theology, rituals, traditions, the art and architecture of sacred sites, we will gain depth in our knowledge and respect for others. The focus of the class will be a secular view of different Religions: Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, among others. I intend to spark respectful and profound conversations among the kids and awaken their curiosity to research and understand other beliefs. We will solve video quizzes and work on presentations. This class is intended for the FALL and SPRING.
