Your student will have tons of fun in this sewing course for beginner sewers. Mini projects are
woven into the curriculum including paper tapestries that allow your students to understand how
fabrics are woven together. Lessons include vocabulary, fractions, and math formulas for
patterning. Organizational skills and project planning will be recorded in planner pages for you
to review with your child. Your student will practice handsewing and learn to use tools and
sewing equipment. Some projects will take more than one week to complete. Students will
have the opportunity to take projects home to continue working on them throughout the week.
Projects include book covers, potholders, notebook cases and so much more. This class is for
both boys and girls. Class projects will be gender neutral or have feminine and masculine
alternatives.
