It is so important for children to develop their musical abilities at a young age. Starting musical training helps children to develop focus, active listening, creativity, muscle coordination, language – all skills used throughout their life. This course is based on the life work of Marilyn Lowe and her Music Moves for Piano, where we learn to listen, feel, and audiate (hear music accurately in our head, like we can with words) in young children. We will be moving, listening, learning basic solfege, ear training, playing rhythm games, improvising, and then applying those skills to basic piano.
